21 school finalists have been announced by Samsung’s Four Seasons of Hope philanthropic initiative, along with partner and football star Eli Manning, in a competition to win a portion of the $1 million in technology products from Samsung and partners Best Buy, Microsoft and DIRECTV.
It’s time to vote for your favorite school or essay online at www.fourseasonsofhope.com/education because your vote will help determine what winning school will be awarded the top incentive worth more than $200K of the prize package. In addition, A Samsung GO Netbook will be given away every day during the voting period to a randomly-selected voter. Voting is open now through February 1, 2010.
Finalists were chosen based on 100-word essay submissions on how consumer electronics, computer equipment and software awarded through the program could benefit their schools. . All finalist schools have already won $50K of the prize package, but only one will win the grand prize.
The nominee and principal will also attend a New York City event hosted by Samsung and Eli Manning in March 2010. Finalists include:
